Gilbert is in the remodel window now
Much of Gilbert went up in the early 2000s, which puts a lot of the town at the twenty year mark. That is the age when a house stops feeling new and starts feeling dated, without anything actually being wrong with it.
The cabinets are usually still solid. The layout usually still works. What has aged is the finish package, the fixtures, and a set of design decisions that made sense in 2003 and do not now.
What twenty years actually looks like
Oversized garden tubs nobody has used in a decade. A kitchen with a peninsula where an island should be. Builder lighting, dark cabinetry, and counters in a material that has had its moment.
None of that is a repair job. It is a decision about what the next twenty years in this house should feel like, and it is worth making deliberately rather than one weekend project at a time.
We will tell you what not to touch
A twenty year old house often has good work in it worth keeping. If your cabinet boxes are sound, refacing and new counters may get you eighty percent of the result for a fraction of a full tear-out. We would rather tell you that and do the smaller job well.
